Yesterday we got a very welcome surprise-an update on Grace! We think that she is beautiful, but we are a bit concerned because she looks very sad in her pictures. Up until this time, she has seemed very happy in her pictures. The last update that we received was from February and she had only been in the orphanage for a couple of months (she had been in foster care before that). Please pray for her spirit-that God would comfort her and give her joy during this time, until we can go to get her.
We also ask that you would pray for her health. She has not gained any weight since her last update, so we are not sure if this is a mistake or if it is really accurate. She is almost 4 years old and weighs just 26 pounds, according to the update. She also has some sort of bug bites or eczema on her legs. It looks very itchy and painful (maybe why she is not smiling!).
We know that God is with our sweet Grace and we know that these problems will probably clear up very quickly once she is home. But, it is difficult to not be able to help our precious girl, when we know that she needs our love right now. Than

I'm excited that you now know about when you'll be going to get Grace! She does look sad in her picture; she needs you all so much.
Grace is beautiful! We will be praying that God ministers to her little heart and prepares her for your love. We are so happy for your family. Maybe we will get to meet you in Guangzhou. That would be wonderful!

Oh! Congratulations....I must have checked in on your blog right before you got TA because I didn't see that until tonight. I'm so excited for you!!! Do you know Grace's height...Robyn (our extreemly slender girl- think slim jeans that still need to be adjusted smaller) weighed about 31 lbs just short of 4 yrs...we could compare heights to get an idea of where Grace stands on being "skinny" and what size she might wear.
Oh precious Grace! Maybe she had just waken up and wasn't in the mood for pictures. . . or she didn't want her "puzzle working" interupted!
Grace is only 2 1/2 months older than Teddi. Teddi is tiny too, weighing in at 27.5 lbs fully dressed. Perhaps like you said the weight (or the last weight) was innacurate. Teddi is wearing
3T pants for length, although her waist is more like 18-24 month size. Teddi's arms and legs looked like Grace's in nearly all of her orphanage pictures (bites) but they cleared up very quickly once we got her home.
Praying that God would keep Grace in His special care as she awaits her family, and that He would protect her health. Also that He would prepare her little heart to meet all of you.
