I think that most of you have already figured out how incredibly blessed that I am to have a friend like Meredith. She truly is a treasure! She is generous, kind, thoughtful, insightful and most importantly, she loves the Lord with all of her heart and helps me to love Him more, as well.

On Saturday, Meredith and I were able to spend the whole day together (thanks David, for hanging out with all of the kids!). What a wonderful birthday gift!

Meredith made a super-yummy shrimp and brie dish for lunch.

Then, she gave me three adoption-related books, as well as some sweet treats and a JJ bracelet (thanks, Tina!). I cannot even tell you how wonderful it has been to share this adoption journey with Meredith...that's a whole other gift in itself!

We went to some consignment shops, and really took our time. It was wonderful to enjoy one another's company...such a gift to have such relaxed time to talk.

Meredith had made an Indian crockpot dish for dinner...again, it was incredible!

Meredith is a great cook.

Then, we watched an Indian movie (Lagaan) and shared a "wookie" (oh my, it was tasty!).
