Bring on the peanut butter cups!

Friday, January 7, 2011

'cuz this boy (who has had severe reactions to miniscule amounts of peanut in the past)
had a negative skin test!

We'll get the results of his blood test early next week,
and if that's clear we'll do an oral challenge in his doctor's office.

Isn't our God so very good?!
It's absolutely, positively a miracle of the Lord!

A few months ago, we were at a Randy Clarke conference and Adam told us that he knew that he had been healed of his peanut allergy.  He went up to the front and shared this with everyone at the conference.  I've got to tell you--I'm so proud of this boy!  He's been pressing into the Lord for healing--asking and believing.
Adam just doesn't back down, no matter the set-back.

For those parents who have children with severe allergies, you know how BIG this is!
No more carrying around an epi-pen.
No more worrying when he's eating away from home.
No more peanut-free environment.

Praise be to God from whom all good things come!

OH MY GOODNESS! I just popped over here since you commented on my blog post (thanks!) and I am so excited for you and your son!! Our Ben has a peanut allergy, and oh how we would love for God to heal him. I am going to pray with more faith, and make sure Ben is too! Would you pray for him?

That's amazing Sarah!! I admit how naive I was growing up not having anyone with severe allergies in our family; I have learned over the years (starting with babysitting a child with severe peanut allergies to raise adoption money for Raegan!!) that this is a STRESSFUL thing manage for a parent. So glad you may have a chance to "rest easy" over managing this issue soon!! Yeah!!! Blessings, Jennifer

Holly,

I'd be honored to pray for Ben. I'll ask Adam to pray for him, as well.

Blessings,
Sarah

Wow! That is so huge. Praise the Lord.

We don't have those allergies but seem to have plenty of friends that do. It is hard to be on our toes even when we hang together. Food is always such a part of the gathering & remembering to be nut free is hard to do!!

Wow, I cannot imagine a life without peanut butter/peanuts. But, what a wonderful faith builder for your son! And for me. Please keep us posted about his progress.

Sarah, this is fantastic news. Praise God from whom all Blessings flow. What a testament to Adam's faith. I know God brought me here this morning because I had been praying for full hearing restoration for Josh. After our appointment with the facial cranial team this week, I was disheartened. Thinking maybe I was just supposed to stop this line of prayer and be thankful for what hearing aids do (and I am, to be sure) and grateful for Josh's residual hearing. I know that Chris's mom and her church continue to pray daily for the full restoration of Josh's hearing. I almost wanted to tell Chris to tell them to call it off, thinking, didn't Paul prayer just 3 times for the removal of his burden. But God brought me over here this morning, where I haven't been for months (haven't been keeping up blogging at any end--reading or writing). I will continue to pray for Josh's hearing restoration.

Much love to you, So many praises for this miracle bestowed upon Adam.
