Why I live in America...

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Although America has many sincere Christians, the majority of the people here have no religion. Here, where it is easy to have religion, where religion is offered at every side, and no one is persecuted for being a Christian, life should be happy and peaceful because of Christianity. But it is not. Instead, there is a hustle and bustle after money and comfort and pleasure, and that all clouds out thoughts of religion. Because it is so easy to have faith in this country, Americans do not appreciate what a comfort there is in religion. At one time the ostrich could fly, but because it did not ever use its wings, it lost its ability to do so. Just so, the people here who do not appreciate the religious faith of their fathers shall lose it.
Sundar Sing, 1920

...because the church in the U.S. desperately needs Christians who are willing to completely give their lives away for the love of God and for one another.

I want to be one of those people.

Because He is worth it.

WOOHOO friend! You said it.

And now sweet one, I invite you to come and get a bit goofy with me. There has been a serious lack of enjoying life in our home over the past few years. I'm busting out, and wanting you to join me, share your ideas, help me start something for others to join in.

Learnin' Livin' Lovin' life,

Yes...you are so right Sarah. It is heartbreaking isn't it? I think sometimes that if there wasn't so much abundance there....it might be different? I don't know...I am just thankful for strong Christians like you...I love your heart.

I found your blog from Kim's at the Byrd's Nest. Your family is beautiful. Thank you for this post. I believe that as American's we have come to the point where we are being persecuted with decadence. Our culture is one of "SELF" and it is killing people. So much of the Church has become lukewarm at best and allowing false doctrine into their hearts, minds, and the church... anything that sounds inviting and tickles their ears. I pray that as true believers in Christ Jesus we will take a stand for the truth of Who and What God truly is... standing fast on the Word of God and sharing the love of Jesus with a lost and hurting world.
I pray that we are consumed with God's all consuming fire and that we won't allow a life filled with luxuries and blessing such as freedom of religion to cause us to become apathetic to the ways of the One and only true God.
God bless you and keep shining bright,
Daleea

Sarah,

MY hubby and I are taking dance lessons too! WOOHOO.

Friend, you have so much joy in your life. Would you consider helping me share it and spreading it to others. I am thinking about doing a Livin' life challenge each week. Everyone can come and share what they did and splash around in the joy of living. From the comments, it's not just me that needs a boost of joy in my life. I would love to have you join us, you always walk in joy!

Learning, Living, and Loving it,
Sar
