Update: Rosie went to the vet and she prescribed an antiparisitic medication. We have a great vet and she only charged us $20, including the medication. Rosemary is much better already, and we actually slept last night! Woohoo!!
Our poor little Rosie-girl has been sick for the past couple of days. I'll spare you the details, but I will say that the title of this post is no accident and that her breed of dog has very long hair in the back. We have been giving her a bath about 6 or 7 times per day (and some of those have been in the middle of the night!). Hmmm...not so fun!!

Sarah,
Just a tip we discovered in Costa Rica. Take puppy off of her food while she gets better. 1 full day of no food, this should stop the oopses, then slowly start giving food again, but not dog food. Boil some hamburger (yes, it sounds nasty) and give that to her. Also, give her the cooled broth to drink, it has lots of protein and fat and will keep her hydrated. You can also give her small bits of rice with the hamburger and broth (beef low salt) to keep her from getting dehydrated. Do this for 3 days. Then pup can have her food again. Every time this worked for us and saved us money at the vet. If after 1 day of no food (just broth and water) pup still has a problem, get her to the vet.
Hugs sweet one,
Sara
Poor little Rosie! I'll be praying for her...and for you too!
A sick dog almost sounds worse than sick kids (at least regarding the multiple baths!) Hope she feels better soon.
What a cute dog! Hope she's feeling better!
