This is our family's story and how it intersects with THE STORY of Jesus. We love God and are learning to live out that love with one another through our very ordinary lives here in eastern Kansas. Come join us!

Well, let me just encourage you by saying that me and my BFF of 26years have only lived in the same town (4 doors down) for 2 of those 26 years. She moved away to Atlanta from our hometown (Nashville) the summer before 7th grade while I was away on vacation. I cried the entire drive home. But the distance propelled our friendship to a whole new level. We talk about every other day; sometimes more than once a day, about everything... EVERYTHING. She is more than my best friend, she is more than family. Next to my husband and children, she is the most important person in my life. Oddly, I am thankful for the distance. We never take each other for granted. We never get tired of each other. We never get irritated with each other or with each other's kids... When we are together, which is only about once a year for a long weekend, we sit and talk for hours, Our husbands goof off, and our kids have a blast. Goodbyes are HARD, but it's not forever:)
Prayers for you sweet friend!
Blessings,
Rebecca
Yup....it is so so so sad. :( I don't know how I will survive.
I have been thinking about you two and the upcoming move . . . Been through the same thing with my best friend from college & best friend from my first museum job. (And we're still close, as I know you two will be). Makes me glad there are only goodbyes in this life.

Your friendship is such a beautiful love story. I am praying for both of you....I can't imagine :(
It is so hard to leave friends but your friendship will still be strong. With just a few more miles between you- now you have a reason to come back to visit and she can go visit you!
