God has been pouring out His grace upon me. It has been like a refreshing and welcomed shower of rain.
Last week I mentioned how much joy I experienced watching my precious son working hard and singing praises to the Lord: "Hallelujah! Grace like rain...falling down on me." His daddy had been singing the same song earlier in the day, and their voices were like sweet rain, falling down, causing all of us to look to The One who pours out His precious grace on us.
A few weeks ago, this same beloved son shared a vision that the Lord had given to Him. We were worshiping with our brothers and sisters on a Sunday morning. Everyone was singing and dancing and praising the Lord. But everyone looked like an outline of whom they really were. They had no insides! The Lord, in His love, stood in heaven, lifting His arms up above His head. He began throwing down rain upon us. And we were filled. We were filled to overflowing. We were filled with the rain of God. We were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Love the new look! I always love purple and blue together!!! Thanks for all of your encouragement at my blog! Sorry I'm not a great commenter, but I read all the time! The video of Grace is amazing!!! Wow!
Oh Sarah, I love your grace like rain testimony and your new "refreshing" blog look! Jill did a beautiful job--I may be contacting her myself.
Adam's vision is such a perfect picture of what the Lord will do for us if we will just throw our hands up in surrender to Him. Oh how good He is to pour His grace in!
The night before my oldest (Bryce), was leaving for basic training (and flying from my nest forever) he played "Grace Like Rain" over and over again. In the wee hours of the morning, as he prepared to "fly" he played it again. I can't hear that song without a rush of emotions. Oh how very good God's amazing grace is . . . to sooth a mama's heart.
We are in a severe drought here in San Antonio, the worst drought since they began keeping weather records. On top of that we have had fifty+ days of temperatures over 100 degrees. To say it is HOT and DRY is a gross understatement. But this evening it RAINED!!! A good 15 minute downpour, long compared to anything we have seen in months! Brady (17) and I went out for a quick supper date (it was lovely), right before the rain. We sat on an enclosed patio to eat and watched it pour! What was interesting was that the people eating inside could not see that it had rained until they came out. One by one as they would exit out through the patio, you would here them exclaim (in a very excited tone), "Raaaaaaain"! It was just a sweet thing to see and hear. Rain. Something we all take for granted--and often complain about, but not here, not now anyway!
Oh Lord that I would realize that with You there is no drought. Ever. All I need is to lift my hands, and You stand ready to pour in. Grace. Like rain pouring down on me. Soak me Lord in Your goodness!
Thank you Sarah, for ministering to my heart!
Love you friend. You are precious in His sight!
